Antiperistaltic agents such as opiates and diphenoxylate with atropine can worsen the diarrhea caused by Cleocin T. Clindamycin is used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Clindamycin should not be used by lactating mothers as it gets excreted in to breast milk. Clindamycin is not used in pediatric patients below the age of 12.
