The concomitant administration of alcohol, barbiturates or narcotics and Diovan HCT can cause orthostatic hypotension. The patient should be advised to avoid lithium during Diovan HCT treatment as it can precipitate lithium toxicity. The dosage of insulin and oral anti diabetic agents is to be adjusted when given along with Valsartan-Hydrochlorthiazide.
