Telmisartan -Hydrochlorothiazide when given along with corticosteroids can cause hypokalemia. Micardis HCT when given with lithium can cause lithium toxicity. The concomitant use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and Micardis HCT can cause a decrease in the diuretic effect of Hydrochlorothiazide. The dose of anti diabetic agents is to be adjusted when given along with Telmisartan –Hydrochlorothiazide.
