HMG CoA reductase inhibitors and Fenofibrate should not be administered together. The co-administration of TGR and cyclosporine can cause nephrotoxicity. It is advised to take TGR 1 hour before or 4 hours after bile acid sequestrants consumption. TGR should not be used in pregnant women, nursing mothers and in pediatric patients. Fenofibrate is contraindicated in patients with severe renal or hepatic dysfunction and in patients with pre existing gall bladder disease.
