Xalatan Sterile Ophthalmic Solution may increase the pigmentation of the iris due to increase in melanin pigment. Contact lenses should not be used while using Xalatan drops. The contact lens should be removed before administration of Xalatan and may be reinserted 15 minutes after administration.  Latanoprost should be used with caution in pregnant women and nursing mothers. Pediatric patients should not use Latanoprost. Xalatan should be used with caution in patients with a history of intraocular inflammation and in patients with active intraocular inflammation.
